Yes, we block out 2 hours for each bride so that she does not feel rushed and can try on as many dresses as she wants.
Do I need to make an appointment for alterations?
Yes, an appointment ensures that we have time to help you and that a fitting room will be available.
How much do alterations cost?
There are a few basic prices; for example, a pants hem costs $10.
However, the cost of your alterations depends on how much work it involves and how long it will take to complete. We cannot quote prices over the phone without seeing the garment and what alteration work it needs.
What should I bring for a fitting?
Bring or wear the undergarments you will wear with the piece of clothing being fitted and the shoes you will wear.
Why should my clothes be clean when I bring them in for alterations?
Seams have to be pressed when doing alterations and heat sets stains. So if your garment is not clean, stains might be made permanent when ironed. Also, I don't want to touch dirty clothes, especially if you 'go commando.'
What if I need my alterations ASAP?
Please understand that when you ask to have your alterations done within a few days, that you are asking to be put ahead of someone who has been waiting patiently in line. However, when possible, I will accommodate your request.
We try to keep my workload at two weeks or less and work very hard to keep your wait time to a minimum.
